One thing that Windows Phone 7 has yet bring to me is an LTE capable phone. My girlfriend has a work Android device that has LTE and the 5-9Mbs she gets on that does put my 2-5Mbs to shame on my HTC Titan. Of course my Titan still owns the speeds on most iPhones that isn’t enough to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
This device has had rumors going around for a while, speculating a 4.3″ Super AMOLED, front facing camera, 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, and a massive 1800mAh batter. Lately there has also been talk of this being the first WP7 LTE device with a release date of March 18th. This sounds pretty good to me but I am not sure if I would want to go down from my 4.7″ Titan screen to a 4.3″.
Samsung Mendel and HTC Radiant
These are the other two devices that are rumored to be hitting the United States soon with LTE and Windows Phone 7. Personally, I have not found any spec rumors or dates but have seen that we should see them in the first half of 2012. It would be great to see WP7 to have 3 or more LTE devices by middle of next year. At that rate they should be easily beating iPhone for the race to LTE.
Bottom line, I am extremely excited to see some LTE enabled WP7 devices, especially considering the proven 10-20Mbs speeds I have seen on AT&T’s LTE.
